All Nippon Airways in 2026 will introduce a new business-class seat on “major long-haul international routes,” the carrier announced Tuesday at the Paris Air Show.

Dubbed “The Room FX,” the “supersized” seats will expand on “The Room” seats now found on ANA’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and will be available on Boeing 787-9 aircraft, according to the carrier. The seats, redesigned for midsized aircraft, will be wider than the current The Room seats and feature a privacy door, new comfort positions and more space for items on the side console. The door and walls also will be thinner than the current ones and will be arranged with an alternating front- and rear-facing configuration.

The redesigned Boeing 787-9 aircraft will have 48 business-class seats, 21 premium-economy seats and 137 economy seats, according to ANA.
